🐦 Looking for a fun spring activity? Make a garden bird cake! 🧁 These DIY suet cakes are the perfect Easter weekend project. They’re packed with the high-energy fats that birds need to stay healthy, build nests, and thrive.

We`re open Easter Monday from 9am to 6pm, where you can find everything you need for this in our bird care section in the Pet & Wildlife department.

How to make them:

1. Mix: Combine 1 part lard or suet with 2 parts bird seed mix (add some dried mealworms for a special treat!).
2. Melt: Gently melt the lard in a pan, then stir in your seed mix until well combined.
3. Mold: Spoon the mixture into silicone cupcake liners or heart-shaped molds.
4. Set: Use a straw to poke a hole for the string, then pop them in the fridge or freezer until firm.
5. Hang: Thread some twine through the hole and hang your "cakes" from a sturdy branch! ...

The Grasford entrance can be seen from the roadside of La Grande Route de Faldouet, located at the rear of the tearooms. 🔘
